An echocardiogram, also known as an ECHO, is a sonogram of the heart. The echocardiogram uses ultrasound techniques to image two-dimensional slices of the heart which assesses cardiac valve areas and function, any abnormal communications between the left and right side of the heart, any leaking of blood through the valves, and calculation of the cardiac output. All studies are completed using state-of-the-art equipment in the comfort of the patient’s room. Echocardiogram services are offered Monday through Friday.
